The code of student conduct.

THE STUDENTS SHOULD

  1. Be proactive in promoting and working towards making school a positive, supportive, safe and welcoming place for all students and teachers.
  2. Be respectful and courteous to fellow-Students’ parents, guardians and teaching and non-teaching staff.
  3. Be knowledgeable about discipline policies regulations and rules.
  4. Follow school rules and contribute to a positive school climate by behaving appropriately even when not specifically asked to do so.
  5. Make every reasonable effort to participate actively in the activities of the school.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Be punctual, report to school and class on time. School begins at 8:00 a.m. if a student arrives in school after 8:00 he/she needs to report to the office to receive an admit /tardy slip. Students are discouraged from coming to school prior to 7:30 a.m. because of lack of adult supervision.
  2. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory to be eligible to appear in the examination.
  3. Students must come to school in neatly laundered uniform and polished shoes. The hair should be trimmed and the nails must be cut regularly. Girls with long hair should make plaits. Skirts should be worn knee -length.
  4. Students are not allowed to leave the class without class out-pass and without permission of the teacher. While moving in between the classes in the corridors and while using the staircases all must keep to the left. Students should move in a way that no child is disturbed.
  5. Any communication send in the school almanac must be acknowledged by the parent/guardian.
  6. Students will refrain from damaging any form of school property. The school reserves the right to be compensated by the student for any such damages.
  7. Unacceptable behavior including academic dishonesty, and neglect of homework, disruptive behavior, loitering and disrespectful behavior towards staff or fellow students will result in serious disciplinary action. In extreme cases parents will be called in to discuss the child’s behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.
  8. Any form of bullying or ragging will result in a disciplinary committee review and could result expulsion with a negative conduct certificate.
  9. English is second language for most of us, but it is also a medium of in instructions. In order to acquire proficiency in spoken English, all students must compulsorily Converse in English in school (and at home as far as possible).
  10. It is compulsorily to bring the school issued ID card to school every day. Not bringing the ID card could result in the child not being allowed into the school premises
  11. Social functions, involving pupils must not be organized inside the school campus without the principal’s approval.

PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR

  1. Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence, habitual late coming, leaving the school premises without permission, disobedience and type of unruly and objectionable behavior.
  2. Writing, scratching, engraving graffiti, drawing and splashing ink or defacing the school walls, furniture and property.
  3. Gluing stickers and posters of any kind on the school property.
  4. Resources to use of unfair means during examinations.
  5. Making noise, talking loudly, shouting, Jeering, hacking, booing, name calling, making cat calls, hissing, mocking and whistling, at any time.
  6. Participating in any incident of bullying and ragging.
  7. Being in restricted areas, ground, empty class rooms, secluded areas, behind building (when class in on and without permission.)
  8. Collecting money, contribution and donation without written permission of the Principal.
  9. Smoking in and around the campus.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  1. Trinket, jewellery, Henna, or Tattoos.
  2. Objectionable literature or expensive items.
  3. Cell phones, iPods, CD, DVD, e-games, pen drives, cameras, music players, obscene materials etc.
  4. Crackers, fireworks, fire arms and any other inflammable material.
  5. Gift of any kind for distribution in school even for birthdays.
  6. Toys, any dangerous instrument, tobacco products, alcoholic drinks, chewing gum, banned food items.

Important point for Parents

All our considerations are in favour of child, his or her safety, well-being and good education. All rules have been framed keeping that in view.

  1. Student cannot be called to the school office to attend to phone calls during school hours.
  2. Parents are requested not to compel the teachers to give private tuitions to their ward as it is not permitted.
  3. The pupil’s Diary is to keep you abreast of the day to day progress of your child; his/her assignment and keep in contact with his/her teachers.
  4. The diary should be checked every day and assignment completed by the child regularly.
  5. The class teacher should be informed if there is any change in address or telephone number. The changes should be recorded in the diary as well.
  6. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to enter classroom to meet their children or to seek unscheduled interviews with teachers during school hours.
  7. Polythene bags are not allowed in the school.
  8. Any communication that parents wish to make with the school should be made on A-4 sheet and must be addressed to the Principal. E-mail is the most preferred form of communication.
  9. Parents are requested to check the school website/SMS/Dairy regularly for updates (especially for non-scheduled holidays).
  10. Half day and short leave are not granted to students.
  11. Attending the Parents Teacher Meeting (PTM) is compulsory for Parents.
  12. Transport services is an optional service facilitated and outsourced by the school for the convenience of its students. If parents are not opting for this facility they will solely be responsible for the transportation of their wards.
  13. Parents/guardian should leave their home early enough to arrive at the designated school vehicle stop Point 5 minutes before the schedule bus time to drop and pick their wards.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

  1. A student must not remain absent without prior permission of the Principal. A leave application is to be submitted for the same.
  2. If a student remains absent from school, due to illness or emergency, even for a day, the parents need to fill in the ‘Non Attendance Record’ found in the school almanac.
  3. If the leave is for more than three days, the student need to submit leave application.
  4. Leave application and leave record should be duly signed by the parents or guardian.

MEDICAL AID

  1. The School has a well-equipped medical room.
  2. A Compressive annual medical checkup of each child is done by qualified doctor to monitor the child’s physical growth. A medical card to record the health status and growth of the child is maintained and a report thereof is sent to the parents for information and necessary action.
  3. First aid treatment is given by medical team in case of accidents and emergencies.
  4. Parents are informed immediately and maybe intimated to take their ward home.
  5. While the school assures all possible precautions and care, the school management will not be responsible for any adverse consequences.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES

  1. The Fee can be paid in lump sum for the whole session by availing a discount of 5% on tuition fees only, provided it is paid in a single installment before 30th April.
  2. The Fee can be deposited online.
  3. In case the fee of applicable installment is not paid within 45 days (i.e. from 1st of the month to the 15th of the next month) the name of the ward is liable to be struck of the rolls without any prior information to the parents.
  4. In case the name of ward is struck off, whole admission fee along with applicable tuition fee has to be deposited as in case of new admission.
  5. Fees can be deposited with late fee latest by the date mentioned below:
